Nikolai is a communications expert, entrepreneur, media trainer and public speaker with more than 30 years experience in the businesses of communications, consultancy and training for top executives.
A widely recognized video communications expert in Germany and beyond, he has been active in the television industry since 1990, initially as a reporter and TV editor for various broadcasters (including ARD, Bayerischer Rundfunk, CBS, Kirch Group), later also as a marketing manager (Bayerischer Rundfunk and Kirch Group). From 2001 to 2007, Nikolai was Head of International Corporate TV for the BMW Group. He then founded the creative production company brain script GmbH, which he currently leads as managing partner and with which he has won numerous prestigious international awards, as well as the German Institute for Communication and Media Training (DIKT GmbH).
From 2008 to 2012, Nikolai also worked as lecturer and later as Professor of Media Management and Media Economics at the MHMK macromedia University for Media and Communication in Munich. Specialized in general media training, interview training, TV training and public speaking, he regularly teaches at various colleges and universities, including TUM School of Management and HFF Munich. To date, he has successfully supported more than 450 board members, executives and communication managers from a variety of industries, such as agriculture, automotive, health, energy, finance and technology.
Nikolai is one of the founding members of CTVA – Corporate TV & Video Association e.V. and was the Association’s Chairman from its foundation in 2003 until 2019. He holds a degree in Political Sciences from the Ludwigs-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, a doctorate in Environmental Policy from the Free University of Berlin and an Executive MBA from the Technical University of Munich.
